The Blu dell’Orso is a tribute to the Marsican bear, a typical fauna of the Abruzzo National Park. The bear is fond of honey and blueberries which are nothing more than the main ingredients of the refinement of this wonderful buffalo blue cheese. Finally, the honey comes from Castelluccio di Norcia, Monti Sibillini National Park, Umbria.
Compact and melting in the mouth, Blu dell’Orso has a strong, very aromatic flavour. When tasting, it amazes for the difficult balance it manages to achieve: the fat component of buffalo milk, in fact, is rebalanced by the acidity of the berries, with honey representing the fusion point with the spiciness of the marbling, enveloping the palate in an ideal, soft embrace.
